Oh I found answer. Just forget what I posted earlier here is simple solution. The recovery partition is showing up becuase its been assigned a DRIVE LETTER. FROM STARTUP ICON MENU - right click COMPUTER - select MANAGE From COMPUTER MANAGEMENT window - select DISK MANGEMENT right click on the DRIVE in question - select CHANGE DRIVE LETTERS AND PATHS - select ADD. There just assign the drive letter and the DRIVE will appear in Windows Explorer or to the programs. I am hoping to restore using the Recovery Partition which has a drive letter assigned and is labeled HDDRECOVERY, but also have a smaller partition (1.46 GB) that is marked as a recovery partition but has no drive letter (and will not allow one to be assigned). STEP 1) * if you don't have a crucial data to recover.After booting through OS boot CD. When you are show the partitions on screen.then delete the Recovery Partition and any unallocated space on HDD. After that you will see only 'good' partitions. STEP 2) choose a partition with large free space on it for installing OS. STEP 3) choose custom installation option. Now you are good to go.
